EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is the name given to a sequence of tapping techniques on certain meridian points of your body. The techniques combine acupressure, polarity reversal, thought field therapy and eye movements known as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). It is an easy to learn, non intrusive, safe process that the client is in complete control of.
Emotional self healing is based on the theory that the energy of all our thoughts and emotions become lodged within our bodies, but by tapping into our subtle energy field by using a series of finger tapping motions on certain parts of the body, the energy meridians, while stating the problem we wish to change, we can release those negative and unwanted thoughts and emotions. EFT is a very simple way to relieve emotional upsets and disturbances. It can be carried out very discreetly wherever you are and is a very quick and effective tool that takes approximately only 10-15 minutes to go through the whole sequence.
Once we have identified the problem you wish to overcome, we will decide on a phrase that represents the issue, such as, if you have a fear of learning to drive; we would use the phrase “Even though I have this fear of driving, I deeply & completely accept myself”. I will then run you through a serious of tapping certain points of your body with your fingers,while repeating this phrase over and over again, we will run through this process a few times, until when you think of the fear you realise it no longer has any hold over you. It is very easy to learn and you can do it anytime, anywhere, very discreetly, whenever you feel anxious or panicky about entering or being in a situation that makes you nervous. It also helps you to overcome your fears.
